ONE FOR SORROW

JAMIE McKELVIE IS BACK WITH HIS FIRST SOLO CREATOR-OWNED PROJECT IN OVER A DECADE!

London, 1900. The capital hums with the energy of the new era, but something darker lurks beneath the surface. A monstrous figure stalks the city’s criminal underworld at night, leaving a trail of bloody corpses in its wake. Rumors about the mysterious killer spread like wildfire. It’s a demon. A phantom. An angel of vengeance. Nothing can kill it. Nothing can stop it. And once it picks a new target, well, he better have a coffin picked out, because he’s already dead. The only clue that a baffled police force has to work with is the black and white feather left on each corpse, leading the press to dub the killer The Magpie. Is the Magpie killing at random, or is there a pattern that no one else can see? Three individuals, strangers to each other, might together have the answer. Madame Hendrikov, the Russian medium with an upper-class clientele desperate for the secrets of the dead. Bess Turner, the East End barmaid caught up in the schemes of an organized crime gang. And Ignatious Thorn, the world’s most famous consulting detective, brought to ruin by horrific tragedy.

The artistic mastermind behind THE WICKED + THE DIVINE, CAPTAIN CARTER, and CATWOMAN: ONE BAD DAY is back with a new comic unlike anything he’s created before. ONE FOR SORROW is an intensely stylish, supernatural suspense thriller, full of kinetic action, bloody revenge, and ghostly mystery.

Marvel NOW! Point One Teases Us with Several Brand New Series!

Possibly "Guardains of the Galaxy" from Bendis and McNiven?

Possibly “Guardains of the Galaxy” from Bendis and McNiven?

As we’ve been reporting for a while now here on the website, Marvel Studios has entered into their new Marvel NOW! initiative which will see drastic changes in the Marvel Universe in the upcoming months.

Concluding with the Avengers vs. X-Men series, we will see several changes throughout the Marvel Universe including old comic book series that will be canceled and new comic book series that will be started. Some of the new comic book series that we talked about include the new Captain America, the new Uncanny Avengers series, and the new Cable & the X-Force series among others.

Marvel is now teasing several new comic book titles with the Marvel NOW! Point One teasers that have been all over the Internet with images that reveal creative teams and hint at possibly what the titles are about.

One teaser image shows that Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie could be teamed up for a Young Avengers comic book series. Brian Michael Bendis and Steve McNiven are also featured on a teaser image that hints that it could be a new Guardians of the Galaxy comic book title. And as we’ve reported before, it appears that Dennis Hopeless and Gabriel Walta are on a new title together and some are speculating that they are actually the creative team for Cable & the X-Force. This is the first possible change that we will see because it was previously noted that Dennis Hopeless and Salvador Larocca would be the creative team for Cable & the X-Force. We’ll have to wait to find out more concerning that. Also other teaser images show Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness and what may possibly be a new Nova comic book series and there also is a teaser image featuring Nick Spencer and Luke Ross with what appears to be a comic book series that will feature Agent Phil Coulson, who everyone has grown to love from all of the Marvel movies that we have seen up until this point.

We’re waiting for more information to be revealed about each of these titles but that is what we currently know at this time and will let you know as soon as we know what these new titles are.

I, for one, would love a new Guardians of the Galaxy series written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Steve McNiven. We may only get three or four issues out of McNiven, but it will look great with every page turn. To check out the teaser images and read more info about these titles, click here.
